First, a quick heads-up
Compliance requirement – Recording notifications is required in most regions.
Sent to all participants – Not just the organizer.
Includes removal link – Anyone can remove the bot instantly.
Can be disabled on Pro – Basic plans, always show the notification. On Pro, admins can adjust or disable in-meeting messages from Settings > Notetaker.
When you’ll see them
Bubbles sends a one-time message when:
The Notetaker joins automatically or via Paste a link.
The meeting has started (within ~1 min of joining).
A valid meeting link is detected (Zoom, Teams, Google Meet etc.).
The message will:
State that the meeting is being recorded for a specific organizer.
Include a clickable link to remove Bubbles.
What to do
If you’re a participant:
Ignore the message (recording continues).
Click the link to remove Bubbles and stop recording.
Ask the organizer for details.
If you’re the organizer:
Please let people know ahead of time in the meeting invitation.
For regular team calls, establish a “recording is standard” policy.
Good to know
Messages appear in your meeting platform’s chat (Zoom DM, Teams private chat, Google Meet public chat).
Anyone in the meeting can use the removal link.
