How do I remove Bubbles from a meeting that's in progress?

You can remove Bubbles Notetaker at any point during a live meeting, whether you are the host or a participant. Once removed, the bot stops recording immediately, and you can choose whether to keep or delete what’s been recorded so far.

First, a quick heads-up

  • Any participant can remove Bubbles, not just the host.

  • Removal takes effect instantly, and the bot will leave the meeting.

  • If you select Delete recording, all captured content will be permanently erased.

  • If you select “Save partial recording”, only the discussion recorded until the removal will be kept.

  • Method 2 is not possible if the user has disabled the In-meeting messages via meeting settings

Method 1: Remove from the participants list (Usually, only the meeting organizer or host can do this)

  • Zoom

    • Click Participants

    • Find Bubbles Notetaker

    • Remove

    • On the confirmation pop-up:

      • Uncheck Report to Zoom.

      • Click Confirm to remove.

  • Microsoft Teams

    • Click Show participants

    • Find Bubbles Notetaker

    • Click three dots (…)

    • Remove from meeting.

  • Google Meet

    • Click People

    • Find Bubbles Notetaker

    • Click Remove participant

    • Confirm.

Method 2: Remove using the direct message link (Fastest)

When Bubbles joins, it sends a direct message to every participant informing them it is recording and providing a removal link

Steps

  • Open your meeting chat.

  • Find the direct message from Bubbles Notetaker.

  • Click the removal link.

  • Choose one of the following:

    • Delete recording – Permanently removes all captured content.

    • Save partial recording – Keeps what’s recorded so far and ends the session.

Good to know

  • If you can’t find your removal link, another participant can share theirs.

  • Removal stops all further recording immediately and cannot be undone.

Still stuck?
